Flood Mitigation Scheme – Work Starts January 2026
The Parish Council is pleased to announce that work on the long awaited Flood Mitigation Scheme along Hazeley Road will start in January 2026

The project is designed to avoid the impacts of the previous flooding seen in the village in 2000 and 2014, which caused significant disruption.
The first part of the work will entail the removal of some hedges and trees, which will be replanted once the construction work on the ditch and culvert is completed.
There is dedicated section on the Council’s website with detailed information about the scheme, this includes links to previous reports about flood and designs for this scheme.
Printed copies of the designs will also be on display at this month’s Parish Council Drop in Surgery session which takes place this Saturday:
